Installing POS Version 6 on a Workstation

If you are a current UDS POS customer notify UDS Support of your intention to install POS on a new hard disk or Workstation.  We will email you a "link" that when selected will take you directly to the “login” page on our web site.

Once there enter your username and password.  After login the next page to appear will include a link that you will click on to begin downloading the ActApps-ActivePOS6.exe file to the folder of your choice.  This web page will also include directions for installing POS. 

If this is a re-installation, such as, with the replacement of a workstation or even just its' hard drive, it is a good idea to have saved a copy of your PosData.mdb file.  You could then 'paste' it back into the PosData folder after installation is complete and not have to set up the POS Control file again.  The POS control file settings are embedded within your last used POS database.
